Our Vision In the times of David and Saul, Saul was the ruling king but rejected by God because of his disobedience. David was anointed by God but still not in power fleeing from Saul.
We read in 1 Samuel 22:1-3, 1 David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. And when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. 2 And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul, gathered to him. And he became captain over them. And there were with him about four hundred men. 3 And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab. And he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and my mother stay with you, till I know what God will do for me.” First his family joined him and then those in distress, debt and bitterness under the rule of Saul. David trained them at the cave of Adullam to be soldiers. Many times in the Old Testament we read about the 400 brave men, most them were trained at the cave of Adullam. The parallel is clear. In our time the Devil is pretending to be the king, the god of this world. Although he has been conquered by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is the real King. The vision for Adullam is to be a place where people that are in distress, debt and bitterness under the rule of the Devil can flee to, to be trained as soldiers for Christ. We purpose to do it through different ministries.
We read how David hid from Saul in a cave called 'Adullam'. While he was hiding from Saul, many people in need came to David and he trained them to be soldiers for the Lord. That is our vision for Adullam, to train those in need to be soldiers for the Lord.
